What’s going on, friends and fam?! Hope it was a fun and safe 4th of July for everyone. I know the Cowley’s are still in one piece, but not for long. Pretty soon Stacey will be parting with that cute baby belly of hers. If it were up to her, we’d do this thing…like yesterday.
Thanks for everyone that helped us celebrate Kori’s birthday and wished her well on Facebook. It’s heart warming to see how many people chime in when I turn in a photo or a quick blurb. On her actual birthday, we spoiled her with her very first Happy Meal and chocolate milk. I can’t speak for her but I’m sure she loved every minute of it but hated every inch of us for waiting so long. By the way, Mr. McDonald needs to pick up the pace on the toys. A ball that doesn’t bounce with eyes? That crap might fly in the Christmas Story but Kori plays with iPads and I know she is not the only one. (Exit Soap Box).
Due date is still July 28th and dada can’t wait to meet our little Cooper Joseph “Coop.” Something tells me my dad would have really liked that name. It has a little baseball flavor in there. Already thinking of cool nicknames and aliases: Super Cooper, sCoop Dogg, Coop Poop, Pooper Cooper, so on and so forth. My poor petite wife doesn’t have a belly big enough to host a blue chip athlete…we need to get him outta there asap. Only kidding about the “blue chip” part.
Between Kori turning two and the 4th of July, it’s been pretty eventful the past few weeks. That girl is definitely going to be a little Lake Rat…loves Papa’s boat, the pool, golf cart rides, etc. Wait til she has her first tubing experience right? But I’m afraid the weekend getaways are coming to a halt for now. We can’t take mama bear to far from the cave for the time being, but it was an impressive stretch of lake trips though. I’ll do my best to keep you posted on the progress of baby number 2. I think the excitement of having this 2nd one is blinding me of the effort and sleepless nights that’s in front of us. Cheers!
I was already fine with it. Here’s the deal: Claire messed up. She owed me. This never happens. Old Phil has a golden ticket. Now, I could’ve cashed it in right away for something small – get out of cleaning the garage. A week at circus camp. But the longer you hold on to it, the more guilt builds, the more you get. Five year – trip to Paris with my buddies. Ten years – sweet little convertible. Twenty years – hello funny articulating five-function robot that can read my mind and feelings.
